- Carley Motorsport, which participated in the Dutch domestic touring car championship race, DTCC, from 1999 to 2003 also used the BMW E46.
- Won the championship in 2001 driven by Tom Coronel.
- BMW's E46 continued to compete in races such as the European Touring Car Championship and the British Touring Car Championship.
